| Guests will meet their guide and

| The Cathedral | |||||||||
| Visit the Cathedral with its impotent
facade in baroque style. Inside guests will admire the 12 Doric columns
and among the works of art, two statues of Antonello Gagini and a precious
painting of Antonello da Messina. Admire the Arethuse Fountain, famous for the myths linked to it, before proceeding to the impressive amphitheatre. |

| Used for wild beast and gladiatorial
contests, the Altar of Hieron II and the old stone quarries which were also
used as prisons but have since been turned into gardens, covered with rich
vegetation which makes them very attractive and picturesque. |

| Ear of Dionysus | |||||||||
| Guests will be visiting this incredible
s-shaped cave hewn from the rock, contracting towards the top and causing
sound to be considerably amplified. It has born the name of Ear of Dionysus
since the 16th century, reflecting the belief that the tyrant Dionysus was
able to overhear even whispered remarks of prisoners in the quarry. Hence
proceed to the remarkable Greek theatre. |

| Located west of the paradise quarry,
with its 151-yard diameter, it is the largest theatre in the Greek world.
Its semicircular auditorium was hewn from the rock and its hillside location
is stunning. |

| Old town |

| Following the visit of the archaeological
site guests will return to the old town area, crossing the “ortygia
bridge”, where they will enjoy some free time at leisure, enjoying
a stroll through the narrow winding streets past old palaces and houses. |

| On completion of the tour guests
will re-board their coaches to be driven back to the landing pier. |

| Guests will meet their guide at the
landing pier and set off on their deluxe a/c coaches, headed to the Euralio
castle, which is on a headland in the Epipoli area, just outside the centre
of Syracuse, from where they will enjoy breathtaking views. |

| Accompanied by our valuable guide,
guests will be able to appreciate this most original and mighty work of
military architecture of the whole Greek World, built during the 4th century
BC. |

| Ciane river | |||||||||
| The tour will then proceed to the
Ciane river where guests will board a boat for a picturesque ride upstream,
during which they will be able to admire the hedges of papyrus plants which
grow spontaneously along the riverbanks, thereof, enjoy the site of the
remains of the temple of Giove Olympic (4th century BC.). |

| Guests will hence return to the landing
pier of the Ciane river to disembark from the motorboat, and return to their
coaches to be driven back to the ship. |
